Review For A Bitch In Time (Marina: Part One: Naughty Nookie Series) by Serena Akeroyd

Book Synopsis:

Marina has never taken the easy road. Why should she, when she prefers a storm to a perfect summer’s day? But even for her, Marina’s life is in a mess and she knows it.

Too many wrong decisions have put her life in danger and the only way to safety is to embrace the past. But Marina moves forward, steam-rolling ahead rather than focusing on the mistakes she’s made; the mistakes that have brought her to this point. And while she is happy with her head buried in the sand, Nathan Conroy won’t let her.

He loved her once, could love her again, but for her safety, even if it causes her to hate him, he’ll do anything to protect her from the mess she’s in.

From big city living to a huge ranch in the middle of nowhere, Marina’s safety comes at a price. But to her the physical danger is no less frightening than the peril to her heart.

Can she rewind ten years to right the wrongs she once made? And even though the future depends on it, can she unbend enough to do just that?

My review:

My copy of this book came direct to me from Serena Akeroyd for my review.

Marina is what they would term a Dark horse,  just when you think you have her worked out, she goes and throws something into the equation that throws your perception totally off balance.

I would refer to her more as a Chameleon, as in she changes her persona to fit her surroundings best so that she blends in almost to invisible.

I can not actually say if I like Marina, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't, she is one very hard cookie to work out, and just as your opinion of her lowers she goes and does something that changes your perception of her, and you start to admire her.

She shows small indications of her past throughout the story and that in itself is definitely a story worth reading but she does not like talking about it at all, so you know its totally worth digging deeper into to find out why.

You find out in the story that she is deceiving everyone even her BFF's and that is not good in a truthful relationship with her besties where they are lead to believe you live one life and yet you totally live another that is so completely different, they would be absolutely blown away, so what will happen when they find out the truth, will they still accept her, even after they find out about her deception, or will they still welcome her into the fold as one of them?.

She does have moments where she shows her true self but they are very far and few between, but she has a heart of gold, she is caring and really wants to set up a safe environment for her ''girls'' that will keep them out of harms reach, and she makes it her place to know every little thing she can about each and everyone of them so she can involve herself if the need arises,  her emotions come into play & she shows a side too her that you didn't think you would see and this itself is what binds you too Marina, and cements the story line into your soul.

I cannot really say too much more about Mona's story as it would give too much away, but it is a must read for this summer, go and grab it now, cause it will be one exceptional story to read from start to finish, and you will be hanging out for the other books in the series like I am.

4 stars from me.

A little about the author:

Putting the Raunch in Romance!

I'm a latent developer in the writing world; I only discovered my love of the written word at 20. But ever since then, there's no stopping me.

Naughty Nookie is my first published series and gradually, the lives of the three central characters will be revealed amidst the cosmopolitan background of New York as their sexual explorations awaken them to who they really are.

Erotica is my genre; especially with unorthodox happy ever afters!
