Tell us a little about yourself.

Oh, dear. That’s an open ended question, isn't it?
I’m a single mom, almost graduated college student, I love to read and I can sew like Martha freaking Stewart.
· I rarely watch television, not because I have something against it, but because I rarely have free time and when I do- I’d rather be reading.
· I don’t have a favorite color, but I do have about 17 grey sweaters (no other colors) for some reason.
· I hate taking selfies because I feel like a jackass when I do it, as I am not a sixteen year old girl or creepy old man trying to show off my junk.
· I love going to book signings, but I hate being away from my kids for more than a weekend, and I’m usually incredibly homesick while I’m gone.

How did you become a writer, and did you always want to write?

I’ve been a writer as long as I can remember.
I just didn’t decide to write a full length novel and actually try to publish it until December of 2012.
The story of Brenna and Dragon was stuck in my head, and I really wanted to get it down on paper.

How do you hope your readers react to the stories you write?

Well… I hope they love them, of course. But, honestly? Any reaction is a good reaction.
If someone is reacting to one of my stories, that means they felt something—good or bad.
If they didn't feel something then I wouldn’t be doing my job.

What responses to your writing have affected you the most and why?

One of the most amazing things I’ve noticed is readers quoting Craving Constellations in their reviews.
I never expected people to actually highlight different passages and talk about them—it floored me.
What a compliment.

Other than writing great stories, what other goals do you have for your life?

I have two little girls that I’d like to raise to be strong, compassionate, smart, funny adults.
That’s my most important goal.
I’ve also been attending school full time for the past four years and will graduate in March—an almost accomplished goal!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

What spare time? Ha!
When I have a little extra time I love to read.
Love it.
I can also sew pretty well and I like to make dresses and things for my girls.
My family actually asks me periodically to make them curtains and pillow covers etc… but they always know they’ll have to wait for a break between books and school terms.

What can you tell us about your latest works?

I’m working on Grease and Callie’s story, Craving Redemption right now.
It will be out sometime in February, I’m not sure of the date yet! I can’t wait because I think readers are going to love them.
What stories can your fans expect from you in the days ahead?

Next up is Craving Redemption: Grease and Callie’s story, and after that will be Casper’s (No title yet).

What would you like to say to your fans in New Zealand and others worldwide?

I can’t believe you’re reading my stories!
How incredible is the internet?!
I hope you love every single story.
I hope you cry and laugh and want to throw your e-reader across the room. I hope you feel something, anything, when you fall in with the Aces.

Thank you so much for taking a chance and picking up Craving Constellations even though you had no idea who I was.
I never expected the level of support I’ve seen from all over the world and I’m amazed by it every day. Thank you, thank you thank you thank you.

Do you have any parting words?

Thank you for having me!
When you’re sitting in your favorite chair, bra less, with sweatpants on for the second day in a row—just know that I’m across the world wearing the exact same thing while I write.
